Surprise!

Mes voeux ont été exhaussés. En faisant mon marché aujourd'hui, dans cet ordinaire Sobeys du coin (coin Weber et Northfield, pour être exact), j'ai trouvé, pour la première fois d'ailleurs, ceci:



Des cretons, Bilopage en plus! Bon, il est vrai qu'il y a aussi des cretons au Sobeys sur Bridgeport, mais c'est à au moins 50 minutes de marche. D'autant plus qu'on parle dans ce cas de cretons Olymel, qui sont immangeables. Comment ce fait-il que subitement je trouve enfin de la vraie bouffe ici? Est-ce que par ce que Noël approche, les épiciers mettent plus d'aliments "traditionnels" sur leurs étagères? C'est possible, qui sait? Anyway, malgré le petit format de 150 grammes et le prix exorbitant de 2.99$, je ne pouvais laisser passer cette occasion de me nourir un peu.

My prayers have been answered! While buying groceries at the local Sobeys, I found the container pictured above. Cretons (of the Bilopage brand, possibly the best widely available kind since the demise of the Quatre-Étoiles brand, which I still miss to this day)! I know there are cretons at the Bridgeport Sobeys, but those are of the crummy Olymel brand, plus it's at least a 50 minutes walk just to get there. How come I finally find some real food here? Is it because Christmas is coming and grocery stores fill their aisles with more "traditional" food? Possibly, who knows? Anyway, despite the small portion and high price (three bucks for 150g, even the somewhat pricey Première Moisson cretons are cheaper), I couldn't pass the chance to get some real food.
